The medical detoxification process at Texas Ranch Recovery Center(TRRC) begins during the initial consultation with our compassionate medical and clinical teams. We will gather information about medical history and substance use and create a customized medical detox treatment plan to address specific needs.
The detoxification process is medically managed 24 hours per day by our physicians, nurses and Medical Director. A typical detox period is between three to ten days, or longer depending upon the substance use history.
Client safety and comfort is our first priority, which includes new linens and pillows, pillow top mattresses, televisions and individual thermostats in each private detox room, located within our newly renovated, private detox corridor in close proximity to medical/nursing offices and staff. Detox progress will be carefully monitored, and we can provide medication to alleviate cravings, anxiety, depression, sleep disturbance, body aches, and nausea.
Medical treatment for substance use disorder is best combined with individual and group therapy as tolerated by each individual. A compatible buddy is assigned to help assist in the acclimation process and provide support during early treatment.
